Department of Automotive Engineering and Transports

The Department of Automotive Engineering and Transports was founded in 3 October 2011, as a result of the reorganization of the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca (in accordance to National Education Law no. 1/2011), from the two chairs: Automotive Engineering and Agricultural Machinery Chair and the Descriptive Geometry and Graphics Engineering Chair. The Automotive Engineering and Agricultural Machinery Chair has started by training engineers in the field of agriculture mechanization (in 1962) and then began training engineers in the field of Automotive Engineering (in 1992), and recently initiated training in the Transport Engineering field (in 2011). Through the two chairs training was provided to over 15,000 graduates long-term, more than 1,500 graduates short-term, over 500 graduates from Master Studies and 300 graduates from Road Traffic Postgraduate Academic Engineering School [continued here].
