The Equipment for primary processing and food products preservation laboratory (EPPP) and Machinery and Equipment for Agriculture and Food Industry (MEAFI), is located in building D, rooms D08 and D08c and it is used for aplicative works at our department.

Study cycles

The Laboratory serves the Bachelor cycle and the masters cycle for:

- Machinery and Equipment for Agriculture and Food Industry

- Biosystem Engineering in Agriculture and Food Industry

Equipment

The laboratory is composed of work benches used for practical applications. These equipments are:

- Workbench for constructive and functional analysis of cleaning and sorting machines equipped with plansifter

- Workbench for plansifter testing

- Workbench for the study of airflow distribution over sieves and fan testing

- Workbench for studying the sorting process

- Workbench for determining the flotation speed

- Electromagnetic workbench for sorting clover seeds

- Workbench for pressure loss determination in pneumatic transport
